As the second week of the GIPE++2025 Spring School began, a sense of purpose guided all the participants. With the client’s presentations fast approaching, the focus shifted towards refinement, coordination and impactful delivery.
The start of the week marked an intensive day of feedback implementation. Stream teams worked to enhance their presentations, integrating insights from last week’s dry run. The final rehearsal in the afternoon solidified their confidence, before a strict Presentation Freeze was enforced, ensuring quality and consistency in translation and structure. On Tuesday, 6th May, it was showtime. After a final round of polishing, teams proudly presented their digital tourism concepts to the client.
In the midweek, there was a refreshing change of pace. With major presentations behind them, students dove into forward-thinking project planning and team activities. The afternoon featured an excursion to Oberhausen or Dinslaken.
As the program neared its close, Thursday, 8th May offered time for focused work within streams, final rehearsals, and a joyful “GIPEES got Talent” evening hosted by the International Office, with performances, games, and a celebration of the diverse GIPE community.
Friday, 9th May was an emotional yet fulfilling finale. After a morning of buffer work and review, the group gathered for the official closing ceremony. A farewell lunch, warm messages from the project leaders, and one last photo-op captured the spirit of togetherness that defined the entire Spring School. The evening’s socialising event reminded everyone: though the program ends, the friendships and memories endure.
Saturday, 10th May signaled departure. After check-out from Haus Heege, students began their return journeys, carrying with them the experience and insights over these two incredible weeks.
