In October 2025, a field visit to Quilca provided the project team with valuable first-hand insights into the local environment, agricultural conditions, and the social and economic realities faced by the farming communities in the region. During the visit, discussions were held with local stakeholders, farmers, and representatives of the municipality in order to better understand the effects of soil salinization and its impact on agricultural productivity and daily life.
