some key facts

The DAAD funded project GIPE (Global Intercultural Project Experience) is a great opportunity for students to work together on an international project that encourages mutual collaboration between academics and cross-cultural working groups of students from Namibia, Peru, Indonesia and Germany.

Who can participate

Each year, up to 8 students from each university can receive a DAAD scholarship. Non-mobile students can also take part in the project and benefit from international teamwork.

Receive credit points

Students can receive corresponding credit points (CP) on successful participation and a certificate.

Where it takes place

The projects are mainly carried out as so-called COIL- (Collaborative Online International Learning) events.

The spring school

Take part in the joint Spring School (2 weeks in spring at WH) or in the project presentation at the partner university (for the German students) to gain a „real“ experience abroad in an intercultural team.

The central theme of this DAAD project is the implementation of annual student projects in the first half of the calendar year or summer semester together with our partner universities and is initially limited to 4 years.

Set yourself new challenges

Different timezones

Work in a team despite three timezones with 12 hours difference.

Different languages

The project language is English, for most participants a foreign language.

Take on the challenge of different lecture and exam schedules in Indonesia, Namibia, Peru and Germany.
