Tuesday, 22 July 2025, was the day of the true because of the project handover to the client. the GIPE 2025++ team officially began its on-site activities on Pulau Untung Jawa, Indonesia. After an early morning departure from Jakarta, students and staff arrived on the island to a warm welcome from the community.

The day was packed with impactful activities:

🌱 Project Handover – formal presentations and discussions with local stakeholders.

🌳 Mangrove Planting – working hand-in-hand with local students to contribute to environmental preservation.

👥 Workshops with youth and Karang Taruna – focusing on social media and web management to build local capacity.

🌊 Beach Cleaning at Rambut Island – a joint action with local environmental groups to protect coastal ecosystems.

🎭 Cultural Night – ending the day with a vibrant evening of cultural exchange and dialogue with Pokdarwis (tourism groups) and Karang Taruna (youth organizations).

This first day on the island combined learning, environmental stewardship, and cultural immersion, reflecting the spirit of sustainable, community-based tourism.
